National Flag of Canada

The Canadian flag consists of three vertical stripes. The right and left stripe are red and of equal size. The center stripe is white and in the middle of it is a red 11-pointed maple leaf emblem. The center stripe covers half of the width of the flag; while the red stripes cover one quarter each. The color red was taken from the Saint George's Cross and the color white from the French royal emblem .

Somalia Democratic Republic

The flag of Somalia consists of a blue base with a white, five-pointed star in the middle of the flag. The blue base originates from the flag of the United Nations and it represents the blue sky over Somalia and the UN , who helped the country realize its dream of independence. The white star represents African freedom . The star's individual points represent the five historical regions inhabited by the Somali people: Italian Somaliland (Somalia), British Somaliland (Somalia), French Somaliland (Djibouti), the Ogaden region of Ethiopia and north Kenya .

Republic Of Rwanda

The flag of Rwanda consists of three horizontal stripes. The top stripe is blue, the middle one yellow and the bottom stripe is green. The yellow and green stripes are of equal width and the blue stripe is double the size of those stripes. In the top right corner of the Rwandan flag there is a yellow sun with 24 rays emanating from it. The blue stripe represents happiness and peace . The yellow symbolizes the country's mineral wealth and economic development and green symbolizes the country's natural resources and prosperity . The sun stands for unity, transparency and enlightenment from ignorance .

Republic Of Burundi

The Burundi flag features a white x cross that divides it into four parts. The left and right sides of the flag are green and the upper and lower parts are red. In the middle of the flag and the cross lies a white circle that has three six-point red stars with green borders inside. There is one star at the top of the circle and two beneath it, in a triangular configuration. The three stars in the middle of the Burundi flag officially refer to the words in the national motto "Unité, Travail, Progrès" (French for " Unity, Work, Progress "). The stars also represent the three ethnic groups who live in Burundi - the Hutu, Tutsi and the Twa. The red in the Burundi flag stands for the country's independence struggle . The green represents hope and the white stands for peace .

Indian National Flag

The Indian National Flag is a horizontal tricolour of India saffron (kesaria) at the top, white in the middle and India green at the bottom in equal proportion. The ratio of width of the flag to its length is two to three (2:3). In the centre of the white band is a navy-blue wheel which represents the chakra. The top saffron colour, indicates the strength and courage of the country. The white middle band indicates peace and truth with Dharma Chakra. The green shows the fertility, growth and auspiciousness of the land. The  Dharma Chakra,  design is that of the wheel which appears on the abacus of the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka. Its diameter approximates to the width of the white band and it has 24 spokes.
